Emi is a Japanese-American student from Culver City, California. Her curiosity for understanding what motivates human beings to fight for fair justice leads her to pursue a double-major in Political Science and Psychology at Stanford. As the former Chief Justice of California’s Model Legislature and Court, she is energized by the power of our generation to not only understand, but advocate for reforms within our judiciary. Co-founding LiberTeach is an outgrowth of this commitment to democratizing access to an education that would similarly inspire the next generation to reimagine our legal institutions. In her free time, she enjoys reading/writing poetry, playing the guitar, practicing yoga, and exploring the outdoors.

Bella is a rural Nebraska native passionate about educational access for underrepresented populations. She is a Pre-Law student at Stanford, double-majoring in International Relations and Political Science. Bella derives her passion and experience from working at a law firm and by leading K-12 students in her tutoring/workshop organization, Building Bright Minds. Here, she has worked with kids across 35+ states and 5 countries. Through LiberTeach, Bella hopes to extend factual, compassionate, and impactful legal educational resources to youth across the nation. Bella loves working with the LiberTeach team, baking, performing spoken word poetry, riding her horse Rocky, and watching biopics!

Megan is a Viet-American student from San Jose, California, where she served on a commission to write municipal policies and promote youth civic engagement. She studies Philosophy at Stanford. After working at the local public defenders’ office, she realized she ultimately wants to dedicate her life to public interest law. With the LiberTeach team, she hopes to build a future generation that is equipped with the skills to think critically about systems of power. You’ll likely catch her reading, or playing with her cat, Everest.
